What does Smit Nerurkar do?
I work in IT Project Management, turning requirements into well-planned, well-executed digital projects. I coordinate teams, manage timelines, and oversee delivery, sitting between people, technology, and execution.
Are you a Project Manager, Developer, or Designer?
Project Management is my core role. I have hands-on experience in development, UI/UX, and testing, which helps me communicate better with teams and make informed project decisions not to work as a full-time developer or designer.
What kind of projects do you work on?
I work on digital and technology projects, web applications, Progressive Web Apps, and client-facing software products where multiple disciplines need to align to deliver a working result.
How technical are you as a Project Manager?
Technical enough to understand how software is built, without writing every line of code myself. I've worked with React, Firebase, Git, and Figma, which helps me manage technical dependencies and communicate clearly with developers.
What does your project management process look like?
I follow seven stages: Understand → Plan → Coordinate → Track → Resolve → Deliver → Learn, from gathering requirements and setting scope to coordinating teams, resolving blockers, and reviewing outcomes after delivery.
